2001
IN Compass Health Founded
Dan Fuller establishes IN Compass Health with a mission to transform hospital medicine. Tom Smith, MD joins as the company's first hospitalist, and the company's first hospitalist contract is secured — laying the foundation for a new standard in inpatient care.
2004
Expanding Clinical Leadership
Gavin Warner, MD is promoted to Vice President of Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations, strengthening the company's clinical infrastructure and positioning IN Compass Health for broader growth.
2007
Entering Emergency Medicine
IN Compass Health expands its service portfolio with its first Emergency Medicine joint venture. This strategic move establishes a new pillar of the company's clinical offerings alongside hospital medicine.
2012
Multi-Specialty Growth
The company launches its first Intensivist contract, marking entry into critical care management. Operational assessments for major health systems demonstrate IN Compass Health's growing reputation as a trusted performance partner.
2019
Full-Service Hybrid Management
IN Compass Health expands management from Hospitalist Medicine to the Emergency Department for a full hybrid management offering. This milestone reflects the company's evolution from staffing solutions to comprehensive operational and clinical management partnerships.
2020
Innovating During COVID-19
Deployed an innovative variable staffing model to support hospital partners emergency medicine and hospital medicine service lines in managing unpredictable census fluctuations during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring continuous, high-quality patient care through one of the most challenging periods in modern healthcare.
2024
Expanded Regional Medical Director Program
Expansion of regional medical leadership by placing experienced physician executives closer to the markets and hospital programs they serve to better provide direct clinical leadership.
