New Medical Director for Person Memorial Hospital

IN Compass Health is proud to announce one of the newest additions to our team and our new Medical Director for Person Memorial Hospital, Stephen Wilczynski, MD, FACCP.  Dr. Wilczynski brings with him almost 20 years of Pulmonary and Critical Care experience.  His career started after receiving his Medical Doctorate at the University of Vermont, Burlington.  He developed his specialization in Internal Medicine at Vermont.  Upon completion of his residency he continued his training and completed his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Duke University.

Dr. Wilczynski has practiced medicine since 1993, preforming various roles including an Emergency Department Physician and as Pulmonologist/Intensivist.  He has an interest in healthcare simulation training and is an Adjunct Faculty Member at Forrest D. McKerley Simulation and Education Center in Concord, NH.

His professional memberships include the Society for Simulation in Health Care, American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.  He is also apart of the academic fraternal organizations Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha.

We at In Compass Health are excited for Dr. Wilczynski's addition to Person Memorial Hospital.  We are looking forward to what his experience and leadership will bring to Person Memorial Hospital.  Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro, NC is a not-for-profit community hospital where old-fashioned traditions of caring, kindness, and compassion join with modern facilities and equipment.  Person Memorial Hospital is a 110-bed facility, accredited by the Joint Commission and has recently modernized their Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, and Surgical Suites to better serve the local community.
